Big Tick For Google My Business Help

by Jo Shaer, on September 17, 2014

google my business logoThe switch from Google Plus to Google My Business means that there are a lot of inconsistencies in the categories for existing businesses which have been ported over.

For one of my clients, the primary category no longer exists but the dashboard would not let me make the change.

So I raised a support ticket with Google My Business last week.

I was not particularly hopeful of getting anything resolved.

My experiences with the non-existent supported offered to Google Local and Google Plus listings in the past have made me cynical.

Using Google My Business Help

However, within a couple of days, the lovely Woodell had responded by email asking me to clarify a couple of the points I raised.

I replied to his message and the same day he called me back on the telephone.

Looks shocked! Yes, he called me on my mobile.

He then answered my questions and went through the list of categories to see if we could find something suitable.

Then he made some other changes to the listing we were discussing.

A few days later, the changes had filtered through to both the Google+ page and the Google My Business dashboard.

I am loving this new Google My Business Help and support!
