Highlighting Recent Posts By Others On Facebook

How to Highlight Recent posts by others on Facebook How to Highlight Recent posts by others on Facebook

April 2014: If your Facebook page has been upgraded, you will no longer be able to highlight Recent Posts By Others or any status update. The highlight function has been replaced with the Embed function and Recent Posts By Others has become Posts To Page situated in the left hand sidebar under photos and above Pages your Page has liked.

Many people don't know that you can highlight Recent Posts By Others on Facebook business pages.

But why would you want to?

If someone has said something nice about you, you want to show it off. But it's hidden in that small section on the top of your right hand sidebar.

If you don't have the Facebook Review button or box, then it's really hard for people to say something nice about your business. And even harder to promote those testimonials.

Having said that, people don't always see the Review box/button! They will just leave a nice comment as a status update.

So here's how you can spread it across your page as a highlighted post.

Highlighting Recent Posts By Others on Facebook

Click on the post that you want to big up. You see that X in the top right hand corner? You need to click that.

Yes I know if you hover over that X it says Remove! But it lies!!!

Click it and you will see a lot of different options. This is also how you can hide one of these if someone has put spam on your wall. You can see the option to Hide there?

But you've got a testimonial that you want to show to all your existing fans. And to anyone who might want to do business with you.

So, click on the option to highlight.

Now refresh your page.

You should still see that testimonial in the Recent Post by Others. But it will also be spread across the full width of your page. Facebook put it into date order so it will be positioned in the right place in your timeline.

Sadly, you cannot embed Recent Posts by Others or link to them. But you could take a screenshot and turn them into a Milestone to give them even more visibility
