How To Schedule Shares On Facebook

by Jo Shaer, on November 23, 2015

schedule a post on facebookSo you find a great image in your business newsfeed and you know you want to share it with your fans.

But you've only just shared some other great content.

You don't want to share several things in a very short space of time. So what to do?

In the past, you would have had to use a third party software like Hootsuite. But then it would have lost the 'via ***' credit of the share.

But it is now possible to schedule your shares.

How to Schedule Shares on Facebook Business Pages

Click on date and time of the post you want to share in the newsfeed. It is just underneath the name of the poster.

This will take you through to the image within its album on that business Facebook page.

Go to the top of the page and copy the URL of that specific page from the url bar.

Now go to your own Facebook business page.

Go into the new status update box.

Paste in your link. A preview box will appear showing your image and the business page that you have shared it from.

Remove the rather ugly long Facebook page list from the status update box. The preview will remain.

Add a suitable comment of your own.

Now at the bottom of the status update box, there is a drop down menu beside the Publish option. You will now see the option to Schedule your Facebook post. Add in the year, month, day and time that you want the share to be posted.

Click Schedule.

A pop up will appear telling you that you can see your scheduled updates in the Activity Log. Click on the button to see the Activity Log.

You will be able to see your scheduled post. You can see that it will post it as you having shared the content from the other person's business page. Attribution and credit has been given.

If you decide that you want to change the date or time, hover over the top right and you will see the option to change the time or delete the post. You can click change the time and reschedule your share post.
