Use CPanel to Filter Email Spam

by Jo Shaer, on September 24, 2011

One of the downsides of having your email address visible on your website is that you are likely to become a victim of email spam.

Even if you take the trouble to only use it as part of a graphic on the front page, if you want to have a good 'Contact Us' page, it should really show that email as well as offering the option of a contact form.

This means that spammers will eventually find it and start sending you little missives with embarrassing titles that you might not want any visiting customers to see.

Here's a nifty way to circumvent the problem.

If you use Outlook, you can do the same thing there instead - see this handy tutorial about applying spam filters in Outlook
